Kate and Tevis E-Session

We had so much fun hanging out and photographing Kate and Tevis. Their wedding is coming up at the end of September at Lighthouse Point and we can't wait! They are two great individuals who are so down to earth, and a pleasure to be around.

Congratulations you two! See you again in a few weeks!

Cape Cod Photo session - Trash the Prom Dress

Last week Ania's sister commented how she was a little jealous of all these brides getting such an awesome and fun 'Trash the Dress' session . . . so we told her to bring her prom dress along to our 3-day vacation at the Cape this past weekend and we'll do a 'Trash the Prom Dress'.

She wore a hot pink dress which blended nicely with the sunset and off we went dressing the prom dress. . . check it out!

Please feel free to post your comments for Kika. Thanks!

Trash The Dress with Michelle and Dan

Spent tuesday afternoon shooting with Michelle and Dan, a great newlywed couple who wanted to have some fun with her wedding dress and take some more photos. We all had a lot of fun, the weather that was a little iffy that morning seemed to cooperate nicely and we enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon. You definitely don’t feel like you are anywhere near Middletown!
Thank You Michelle and Dan!!!

After all the salon visits, fittings, alterations, and your wedding day, what happens to “the dress”. Most brides decide to preserve their dress for future generations, but some brides are taking a decidedly different approach. They are wearing their dress once more in a much less careful manner for a fun, dramatic photo shoot, better known as “Trash The Dress”. The concept is to relax and enjoy wearing your dress one last time in a fun, creative, liberating way.
Brides who have embraced the trend say that a "Trash the Dress" photo shoot gives their gown a new life in lieu of sitting in their closet.
Trash the dress sessions can be booked anytime, you may choose to do it the day of your wedding or weeks or months afterwards, just give us a call. So book your "Trash the Dress" session with Discover Photo LLC - Jacek & Ania Mikolajczyk today and get some unusual and exciting images for your wedding album.

From Kasia : July 2007
“When I first heard about “trash the dress” I thought it was a crazy concept. But as I looked through hundreds of wedding pictures while choosing my photographer, I found that the pictures that caught my eye were all “trash the dress” style. But what about saving my dress? After thinking about it, I realized that beautiful pictures meant more to me than storing my dress in a box in the closet. After the wedding ceremony, I was a little nervous about the pictures, but Jacek made us comfortable, and we ended up having a great time! I recommend that every bride do a “trash the dress” session, even if it is with a less expensive substitute wedding dress. And don’t be nervous about using your real dress, as long as you don’t go too crazy, it will probably be washable. My mom was able to get mine looking like new again!" - Kasia
