Baby Session with Lila, Marcin & little Aiden
Last week we had the pleasure to spend an evening photographing little tiny Aiden . . . he's just 3 weeks old, but a very strong 3 week old. Unlike any other little ones we have photographed, Aiden when put on his stomach would lift his head up, try to look around & see what was going on around him.
He is so adorable, and so much fun to photograph. Just like with any newborn without a diaper, we had a few 'leaky & tinkling' moments which are all expected and part of the experience. Luckily, no major crying episodes which made for a smoother session. You never know with babies - every moment can be dramatically different. Aiden was at his best behavior... we did tire him out but it was all worth it.
Here is a sneak peek of some of the photos. More are coming soon!!

Another Newspaper article about me - Invest in your wedding memories
Investing in your memories: Wedding Photographers professsional vs. amateurs
Invest in the best photography you can afford- It may seem an extravagance when you are dividing up your budget, but choosing great photography will ensure many precious moments are recorded forever. They are also wonderful to look back on together with family and friends, long after your day has passed.
On the day you marry you feel you'll never forget a second of it- The excitement, the happiness and the atmosphere will stay with you forever. But the truth is memories DO fade and there will be moments you completely forget as time passes. So how do you capture all those special and amazing aspects of your day, to cherish forever? Photographs obviously go a long way towards creating memories. They chart certain times in your day, and they are wonderful to look back at and relive the day...
I heard a rumor last week that the Professional Photographers Association of BC (PPABC) will be showing TV ads about why you should hire a professional.
That should be interesting.

Congratulations Kat and Martin!!
Every wedding has something special about it that won't be forgotten by the vendors that work and faciliate it... Other than having a beautiful ceremony and reception, we will never forget Kat and Martin's wedding for their 'trash-the-dress' moment at the end of their reception that day. Yes, you heard it right... Kat being very brave and determined, (we though initially she was just pulling our legs) 'trashed her dress'.
While taking the formal pictures, we started joking around how fun it would be if Martin threw her into the fountain pool in front of The Riverhouse - well, at the end of the reception Kat was ready for this action . . . . and so . . .that's exactly what happened - see the pictures below.
Kat - I really applaud you for doing this & Martin, too bad you didn't have a change of clothes or we would have gotten you in there with her. Both of you make a fantastic couple. Many thanks to you and your family for allowing us to document this special event for you.

We ventured outside for some pictures - the weather wasn't super fantasitic as it was drizzling on an off, and we didn't have any sunlight just dark overcast clouds.
Unfortunately, we didn't have many colorful leaves left on the trees but what was left still made for some good background
Father - Daughter dance - always a great moment
And here we go... Kat & Martin preparing for their once in a life-time 'trash-the-dress' moment on their wedding day . . .
And he drops her in - Ok, initially we though he was going to gently 'drop' (really put her down) but it was a total drop in
Kat smiling like she did that entire day . . . you can't tell from the pictures, but the temperature outside was in the mid 30s, it was pouring rain at this point, and almost dark.
Kat - although you're all wet, you still looked great and this is a memory you and your guest who witnessed this will never forget. Thanks for making it fun for us to capture this moment for you =)
