Congratulations Lauren and David!!!

What an amazing wedding - full of laughter, tears and lots of emotion. Every wedding has it's surprises - the surprise at Lauren and David's was a mishap with the flowers. Earlier that morning, Lauren's mom, Barbara had called the florist to confirm the arrival of flowers and it turned out that the florist though the wedding was for next week... can you imagine? Not one single flower done for your wedding?

Any other bride would have probably been in a huge panic, but Lauren was as calm as anything - the most important thing for her was to be able to marry David - with or without the flowers.

We took all the formal pictures ahead of the ceremony at Topsmead in Litchfield - this is one of the cutest places you can have your pictures taken. . . it was the perfect place for Lauren and David.

Lauren's father, holding Lauren's substitution bouquet . . . as it turned out, their immediate family, along with 2 bridesmaids were involved in arranging for substitution bouquets, centerpieces and what not. It was a great team effort and I have to admit they did a fantastic job.

It looks like they are flying in this picture - but this is a great shot - I love it! When we did their engagement session we had them jump, this was on their own . . . but it turned out great.

And of course, the traditional wedding dance, the Hora

This was the last picture taken - David's sister (see below) took the picture of us with my camera, but I also grabbed one of her =)

The cake was from Sweet Maria's in Waterbury. It tasted as good as it looked. They also put real roses on the cake after it was delivered when they heard about the flower disaster. They were great.

Jacek and Ania,

You guys did a beautiful job capturing the day! I have already looked at the slide show more than once. If you ever need an extra hand with someone taking the pics, let me know, I already have some practice!
